Well we are now home, safe and sound. We were given the all clear from our lovely Paediatrician at about 7:30pm last night. Scarlett decided yesterday that drinking and eating weren't that bad after all and was taken off the drip in the morning. After some more monitoring from the nurses and another check from the Doc, we were given our leave pass. I even managed to be there when she had the drip taken out, after being assured it was virtually painless for Scarlett!
The first thing she did once it was taken out was to try and pick off the plaster they put on! Then there was a lot of flexing of fingers that had been forced straight with the bandage. It's been great to see her getting back to her old self.
Scarlett would like to say a big THANK YOU for the emails you sent to make sure she was ok. Thanks Shelley, Lauren, Tannia, Great Nan & Grandad, Grand-poppa, Nana & Poppa, Bridget & Lizzie. Thanks also to those who phoned us to see how she was. It's nice to know so many people care, from all corners of the globe.
