Baby 'Nail

Snails are the subject of much fascination for Scarlett, and lucky for her we have some fine specimens in the garden down in the basement where the car park is. Every time we go to the car, she says, "Nail? MmmHmmm? Peas Mama?" (translation: Snails? MmmHmm? Please Mama?"). Which means we have to have a look at the snails in the garden and count them, both when we leave and when we return home.

Scarlett, like Humpty Dumpty, had another great fall a couple of days ago. She was running to get a nappy when she tripped and landed on one of those foam playmats that are apparently quite abrasive if you hit them at speed. She grazed her chin quite badly, which once again makes us feel awful. She refuses plasters and it's all we can do to get some ointment on and hope for the best!

She scratched her sore chin yesterday morning, which hurt enough to make her cry, but lucky Raquel found a baby snail in our garden. There's nothing like a baby 'nail to cheer up a teary toddler of a morning.
