Hairy Maclary

Another trip to Ikea has left us with a lighter wallet and more baby stuff in the house. What are the chances? This time around we were suckered into this wee armchair which we are trying to get Scarlett to sit in to watch her DVDs. The record time has been about 17 seconds to date. As you can see it's going well.

One of her favourite DVDs is Hairy Maclary. It's funny, she has this love-hate relationship going with it, possibly due to some over-zealous parents doing all the voices in the story, but possibly also due to the scary music that accompanies the arrival of Scarface Claw in the DVD. Either way, whether we're reading the book or watching the DVD, when Scarface Claw is due to come on the scene, she either runs away, hides, clings to one of us, peeks out from behind the sofa or covers her eyes with her hands - all the while smiling, so we can't figure it out.
