Hong Kong Disneyland

We thought it would be a good idea to have a child-focused holiday, as we were planning to visit Vietnam in July, and figured it wouldn't be the best destination for 2 boisterous children...

On a friend's recommendation, we booked in at the Hong Kong Disneyland hotel for 3 nights. Scarlett & Griff were beside themselves with excitement!

The hotel was stunning - old English-style opulence - and catered for children beautifully. There was a play room with all sorts of toys, an outdoor maze, a swimming pool, and lots of activities the little ones would enjoy.

The only damper on our trip was the fact that it rained non-stop for the 2 days that we visited Disneyland! Disaster! It took a lot of the fun out of it, but we still had a good time (if a bit soggy in places).

Scarlett enjoyed being dressed up as a princess and having her very own photo shoot. Griffin's favourite thing was the merry-go-round and the 5-piece band that played in the restaurant over dinner. They both loved the 'It's a Small World' ride.

We had breakfast with the Disney Characters, which Scarlett adored as much as Griffin was terrified. We did manage a couple of shots of Griff with a character, and even a rare family shot, so that was a bonus.

The food at the restaurants was excellent, and the kids were given stickers and colouring in books at every turn. They even had plush velvet highchairs especially for them - spoiled indeed.

Magical photos of the family - what a treasure trove of memories for you all. Scarlett sure looks like a fairy princess - it'll be the school ball before we know it!
