Not being one to suck my thumb or have a blankie, I watch aghast as Scarlett seems to have picked up these habits. Of course she does have to put her own spin on things. As you will see from the photo, her favourite thing is not just any old blankie, but the feel of her sleepsuit. She went to her room, dragged this from its place draped over her cot and was seen at various places throughout the house standing against doors or the floor sucking her thumb and covering her face with it. Who would've thought PJ's were that nice?
The other day we went to a clothing store and found Scarlett snuggled up to the racks of T-shirts having a good old thumb-suck. Quite funny to watch.
She has been a little bit more thumb-sucky these days and now we know why. Poor Scarlett and I both have Mycoplasma. It means we have a nasty cough, sore throat and feel tired all the time. Luckily we're onto the meds and hope to be fighting fit for NZ.
