Griffin's first haircut

I had truly been dreading the day when we would have to cut Griffin's baby curls off. They were so luscious, but so impractical in the Singapore heat. Besides, we were getting asked by many a friend if we had deliberately given him a Mullet, so figured it was time to take a hard pill and get over it.

I decided to go to one of those specialised places for kids hair, you know, the ones with all the videos and toys... Nancy & the kids decided to come too, as Will needed a sprucing up too, so we took over the wee shop.

Will took to the brooms, and did a bit of sweeping.

Scarlett & Claire had a bit of role-play action going on!


Finally, it was Griffin's turn. It started off well, with sweets and telly...


But soon we needed toys as well...


Finally, it became a 3-person job!


And the end result? I'm used to it now, but not only did we chop the curls off, we chopped the blond off too! Our golden-haired boy is now a sandy-haired boy. Luckily, we love him just the same.


The end result:
